Man who got dragged off United plane finally gets some money

The man who was pulled out of his seat and dragged off a United Airlines flight on April 9 just settled with the airline for an undisclosed amount of money.

The settlement comes just hours after United announced several new policies that they hope will ensure no one is ever ripped from their seat again.

Dr. David Dao was on his way to Louisville from Chicago when United decided it needed to make room on the packed flight for flight attendants who needed to get to Louisville as well. United asked for volunteers, then randomly selected passengers for removal. Read more…

‘Power Rangers’ fans are hyped about that credits scene-here’s why

Like most geek-friendly blockbusters coming out of Hollywood these days, Lionsgate’s Power Rangers reboot sets up the sequel with a “stinger” – a scene inserted into the end credits.

That’s what I’m here to fill you in on. Needless to say, spoilers ahead.

Midway through the credit roll we’re treated to a familiar scene: our beloved heroes, fresh from saving the planet, are back in detention. A teacher calls the roll, but one student doesn’t respond: Tommy Oliver.

After 11 years, the feud between Chili’s and ‘The Office’s Pam Beesly is now over

Forgiveness is a cherished virtue.

It’s also something that Pam Beesly, former receptionist at Dunder Mifflin from our favorite show The Office, experienced today when restaurant chain Chili’s officially forgave her for her uncouth behavior 11 years ago.

It all started when Jenna Fischer, the actress who played Pam, tweeted out this photo.

– Jenna Fischer (@jennafischer) February 6, 2017

Fischer is alluding to a scene from Season 2 of The Office, when Pam becomes so drunk at Chili’s that she falls out of a chair and is subsequently kicked out of the restaurant. Not only that, but the owner of the restaurant proclaims, “She is not welcome at this restaurant chain ever again.” Read more…

This dastardly college basketball trick play is an all-time classic

It’s one thing to even dream of trying this trick play. It’s something else entirely to actually draw it up in an important game. And to pull it off successfully? Out of this world.

So we tip our caps in the direction of Louisville women’s basketball coach Jeff Walz, who staged an all-timer against Duke on Monday night.

Louisville had possession of the ball to open the second half. Walz had his players take the court as if they were trying to score on one basket – but, in fact, Louisville was tricking Duke into defending the basket where it was trying to score. The result? When Louisville inbounded the ball, point guard Mariya Moore had a wide-open layup with virtually every player on the court set to begin play under the wrong hoop.  Read more…
